Juan Sebastian Alfonso was born in Bogotá, Colombia, and is the youngest of three children. His parents, Carlos Alfonso and Martha Alfonso, raised Juan alongside his two older brothers, Omar and Carlos. From a young age, Juan showed a great interest in learning and exploring new cultures. At the age of 15, he moved to the United States with his family, seeking new opportunities and a better future. This experience of emigrating to a new land at such a young age has significantly shaped his perspective and determination in life. Juan Sebastian Alfonso has had a diverse and dynamic career path, marked by dedication and achievement across various fields. From 2007 to 2012, he served in the military, where he honed his leadership skills and developed a strong sense of discipline and commitment. After his military service, Juan pursued a passion for sports and became a professional soccer player. In the 2014-2015 season, he played for Miami United, contributing to the team's success as Sunshine Conference champions. Following his soccer career, Juan transitioned into the hospitality industry, where he has accumulated over a decade of experience. His expertise in this field is extensive, ranging from customer service to management roles, showcasing his versatility and ability to thrive in different environments. In addition to his hospitality career, Juan spent two years as an event planner in the Bahamas. During this time, he successfully produced events for over 1,600 people, demonstrating his exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Juan's varied experiences reflect his adaptability and commitment to excellence, making him a valuable asset in any endeavor he undertakes. Dorothy MacDiarmid is an accomplished entrepreneurial professional with a record of success in the construction and remodeling industry. From her first business venture converting a former mixed use retail building into a 25-room hotel in a turn of the century woolen mill in Maine to obtaining her general contracting license in Florida, Dorothy is proven to be a quick learner who thrives on challenges. A 25 year resident of Palm Beach County, Dorothy has deep roots in our community. With a successful history of leading large-scale volunteer projects with numerous local nonprofits and running grassroots communications for political campaigns, she demonstrates an ability to meet accelerated timelines, manage large budgets, and motivate & guide diverse groups towards common goals.
